Name/Character

Geriatrics-knittinglady

I'm a bit confused by this page. I haven't seen the Arlo Guthrie episode, but the description makes it sound like she's just a background character. Is she actually called "Granny" by someone else, or was this a fan term? Also, was it the character seen above? If so, if the name is unsourced, and perhaps even if it is, I'd recommend merging it with Geri and the Atrics, which now fairly thoroughly covers the group and the individual puppets, and I'd think any details on solo appearances as extras can go there. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 21:24, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Not sure if it helps, but she's referred to as "Miss Kathleen" in the Prince episode of Muppets Tonight. -- MuppetDude 14:48, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, that doesn't help at all. That's a later appearance, and either deserves its own page or can be noted on the Geri and the Atrics page. My question is whether there's any source for this label, or if the original editor just made it up. At this point, I'll probably just merge. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 15:11, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
The grandma from Geri and the Atrics, on this picture, is not the Granny that the poster meant. "Granny" from the Arlo Guthrie episode was a violet Whatnot. She was just a cameo character in a rocking chair with a baby on her lap, and had one line while watching Muppet News Flash (Dave Goelz' voice, I think). Kermit briefly mentioned her ('The family's here... Granny, and the baby, and the bear, and the band, and over at the piano, Mr Arlo Guthrie'). --Jogchem 15:34, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
