Banned in Lebanon[]
Some interesting trivia: the book was banned in Lebanon the same year it was published due to the promotion of Hannukah. Source(s):

I'm not trying to spark any controversy. I just think this is a fun fact, especially considering that it's a kids' book. - ReadySettySpaghetti (talk) 00:53, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks Spaghetti, that is interesting and would be something we'd cover. See For Every Child, A Better World, for example. However, those are just lists of books in a repository. We'd need a better source to cite such as a reputable news publication. —Scott

- Fair enough. I'll ask on a Wikipedia talk page (the one for "List of banned books by country") for a reliable source, because even the Wikipedia article doesn't go too in-depth. - ReadySettySpaghetti (talk) 01:14, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
