The Hercule gag[]

Just wondering if it's worth mentioning briefly here that Christie herself wrote a series of short stories (The Labors Of Hercules) which explicitly drew a connection between Hercule Poirot and Hercules, about fifty years before MT made it a running gag.

This first occurred to me when look at the Agatha Christie page, which actually makes a bit more of the connection, but this seems to me the more logical place if it's worth mentioning. But I can't decide myself if it's a relevant minor detail or just pure trivia. Thoughts? Gusworld 21:36, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, it's not really relevant to the Muppet version, and if you'll look, both pages actually say the same thing more or less, just that the Muppets confuse Poirot with the demigod (and, as noted here, also Superman). Labors of Hercules is a fun book but not relevant here. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 20:59, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

Merge?[]

Much as I love this page, I'm wondering if it should be merged with Agatha Christie (which it predates). I say it particularly since the majority of the cast connections on the Christie page come from the Poirot series. Andrew Leal (talk) 00:17, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

I'd vote to keep this page as is, seeing as it doubles as an article for the Muppets Tonight skit as well. -- Joe (talk) 18:49, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Good point, although in fact there is a Murder on the Disoriented Express page. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 20:33, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
