Julie on Sesame Street and The Muppet Show[]
Do we know who performed the Woman / Monster in this sketch? The Julie on Sesame Street page doesn't even list this song. Also, did Jim sing in the Muppet Show version or only speak? Did one person puppeteer and the other redub or did the puppet switch off between Fran Brill and Jim Henson? -- Peter (talk) 16:45, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- In the Muppet Show version, I'm pretty sure that Jim sang the very last line of the song, and then the woman monster's dialogue after it. As for puppeteering, it seems to me that it would have been too cumbersome to switch puppeteers in the short period of time that she goes under the table, but I either could be mistaken or they could have used a cut. I'll have to watch that sketch again to see if there is indeed a cut, but if not, I think we can safely assume that either Fran or Jim performed the character for the entire time...which just leaves the question of which one of them it was (I'm going with Fran because she has more lines in the song). - It wasn't the song itself, just the background music. So it almost certainly wasn't from the Broadway or film versions, and may well have been done live. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 16:02, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
