What's the source for Jeff Goldblum as the Indy look-alike in episode 3135? It doesn't look like him to me. β€”Scott (talk) 03:40, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

I thought the page itself stated it, and a YouTube clip from Guillermo or some such. I can't open multiple windows to check, plus the same season featured Goldblum as Bob's brother, an Indiana Jones parody named Minnesota something (it's in a McGrath print interview and the Google Television Pioneers video interview, again not accessible to me) so it seemed like they simply had him make a cameo in this episode as well. Like I said, I can't open multiple windows nor do I have access to the full episode (as opposed to a single screengrab which isn't the best evidence unless it was chosen specifically to spotlight the actor's best angle) so if there's enough evidence to the contrary, feel free to yank it. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 03:47, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
I'd rather not close this just yet when the primary evidence against is a screengrab which isn't very clear and which to me actually does look like him if filtered through the grain and so on (though I agree better sourcing is needed). I'm finally on my main PC again, so there's the end of this interview with Bob McGrath; doesn't discuss the episode specifically of course but when asked about favorite guest stars, he mentions Jeff Goldblum as his brother who was "very Raiders of the Lost Ark." Checking through notes about the 24th season, Goldblum definitely appeared that year. The only direct statements about Goldblum as the Indy character weren't here as I'd misremembered but on Wikipedia (where they claim his character's name was Minneapolis), which I know we're always (rightly) loathe to consider a primary source. But in this case, I've left a note with Guillermo, whenever he gets a chance, to review the scene, since he seems to be the only one around here with the actual episode. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 18:17, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Quick service, Guillermo cleared up the whole thing: "It's not ... but Goldblum did appear in an episode where he played Bob's brother, Minneapolis, an archaeologist on the hunt for the Golden Cabbage of Snuffertiti." So while it proves it wasn't him in that episode, it does provide another Indy parody, which with Bob's direct quote could be worked nicely into this page whenever we feel like it. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 20:06, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
