Title again

Some time ago, this page, and the album, were moved. I recently managed to see the special, and the on-screen title and the announcer emphasize that its John Denver & The Muppets: A Christmas Together. Following that comes "Starring John Denver" and then a run down of the Muppets. Checking shows that some newspaper listings identified it as John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together, while others just listed it as John Denver and the Muppets. A UPI article accompanying the original airing, and which interviews Jim Henson, likewise refers to it as John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together. Finally, the US Copyright catalog has the special registered as "John Denver & the Muppets, a Christmas together" (followed by production company and director info, in the same heading), while it lists the album simply as A Christmas Together. Under the circumstances, I think it's reasonable to consider that in this case the prefix was intended as part of the actual program title, not just a cast listing or promo announcement or something (the UPI article treats the album the same way, but that's a separate discussion, really). As such, a move back seems warranted. Thoughts? -- Andrew Leal (talk) 03:19, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

That makes sense to me. I haven't seen the special in its entirety since 1979, but I just checked the opening sequence on YouTube, and I agree with you. Also, not that it means anything here, but the spine of the album also reads the same way, except they have a dash instead of a colon. -- Ken (talk) 03:32, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
I agree that makes sense. Scott was the one who was involved in the page moves -- I think we ought to get him into the conversation before we make any changes. He's on vacation this week, and only popping in occasionally... Can we keep this until he gets back next week? -- Danny@fandom (talk) 06:36, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Sure, it's not a time sensitive issue or anything. For the album, the RCA print ad and the copyright registration are the only ones that discard the prefix, but those are strong enough for that page to stay as is. With the special, though, everything uses either the full title or just John Denver and the Muppets; the only reason for moving it at all was to match the album, but it seems better to treat them as different cases. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 07:35, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm cool with moving the special. We only moved it in the first place to be consistent with the album which we decided didn't need the name of the artists in it (a la The Beatles: Yellow Submarine). —Scott (talk) 23:48, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
