Lost Untangled

Where does this project lie? Should it be included here, or in the henson-alternative.wikia? I was going to create a gallery of Chang's outfits/alternate identities, and a From the Balcony style ep-guide. -- Zanimum 21:32, April 3, 2010 (UTC)

Definitely no need for outfits/alternate identities, which would just be getting carried away. It's not quite a Henson Alternative project (Creature Shop built the puppet for Disney, so he might almost qualify as a Muppet), so maybe a short episode guide, but I wouldn't consider it that crucial myself. We'll see what others say. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 22:13, April 3, 2010 (UTC)
I would say that Chang isn't a Muppet. He is simply a puppet built by the Creature Shop for a post-2004 non-Henson production (similar to the puppets in Forgetting Sarah Marshall or Old Dogs). So I don't think we need real detailed coverage for him as a character.
And while Disney owns both ABC and Muppets Studio, I wouldn't say that it makes him a Muppet. ABC and Muppets Studio, while sharing the same group of overall stockholder ownership and governing and sharing some corporate synergy, are both different organizations. Just because Disney bought the Muppets, that does not mean all Disney puppets are now Muppets. Plus Disney's Muppets are maintained by Puppet Heap, not the Creature Shop, now. So, to me, Chang is just a Creature Shop puppet featured in a post-2004 non-Henson production. -- Brad D. (talk) 04:47, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
I feel its a Muppet. But I'm afraid to voice that and stir up a whole "What is a Muppet" discussion again. -- Nate (talk)
Definitely not a Muppet since it was built by Henson and not Disney's outsource (which is currently Puppet Heap). So yeah, Chang classifies as a Henson puppet similar to Forgetting Sarah Marshall. —Scott (talk) 20:49, April 5, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah. The main reason I added the "almost" is that in fact Disney is now basically choosing to classify as a Muppet whatever they feel like (i.e. Old Dogs had Creature Shop-built characters billed in the credits as Muppets), so we're mostly back to official labeling aesthetics over where something was built. In any event, this really is a minor thing, and in fact I'd say the best place for someone who wanted to go into extraordinary detail to my mind would probably be neither here nor Henson Alternative, but the Lost wiki (but that's just a guess, I don't know how they run things there). -- Andrew Leal (talk) 21:03, April 5, 2010 (UTC)
