Odd phrasing[]

"Markas demonstrates that the best way to befriend a robot is to meddle with his innards and alter his brain, so he suits the user's tastes and personality." This phrasing strikes me as ... not the intended moral of the story. Can we revise this somehow? Powers 12:39, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

It's exactly what happens, if not the intended moral (the moral is supposed to be about demonstrating new ways of making sounds; the fact that a robot is "killed" and brought back to life in the process is immaterial). Feel free to twiddle, but I don't see anything wrong with it. When bizarre things happen in Muppet productions, I don't see it as odd or POV to describe them as they are. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 12:52, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
To me, the choice of words implies a disapproval of the moral on the part of the wiki. I could be wrong. Powers 13:10, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Again, that's not the moral, and it's not dissaproval to state as is. If you can find a better way to phrase that while still acknowledging the facts, that characters repeatedly manipulate Markus' mechanisms to bend him to their bidding, feel free. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 13:16, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
I think it's the phrase "the best way" that's confusing. I like the humorous slant on the proceedings, but I agree that "best" implies some kind of intentional lesson, either on the part of the show or the wiki. I'll see if I can think of a better way to say that, unless somebody beats me to it. -- Danny (talk) 13:22, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
