Category[]
Any suggestions as to what category we could put this article in? -- Nate (talk) 20:58, June 9, 2010 (UTC)
- It's a tough one. It starts off as a reference, but then gets official involvement from Henson players. βScott (talk) 16:48, June 10, 2010 (UTC)
- The planes do go on some tours and can be visited at times, so its somewhat of an Exhibit. I'm just totally stumped as to where to put it. It's interesting stuff, but doesn't seem to fit in with anything else. Since there are stickers, it could go in Muppet Paper Products, but that's a lame place to stick this really. -- Nate (talk) 17:53, June 10, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, not paper products. It's really the latter day equivalent of Disney or Warner lending out their cartoon characters for use as military insignia during WWII, so it falls closer to the public service sector. We have Category:Public Service Announcements, which already includes Talking Taxi (which isn't a TV PSA but a recorded safety spiel) and, though it doesn't have its own page, there's the special Space Shuttle Columbia recorded messages covered on Pigs in Space. So, two options. Easiest one is to add a category definition to PSAs, noting that it encompasses traditional public service announcements as well as specific Muppet public service outreaches in other forms, utilized directly by government or educational bodies (we'll find a more concise and elegant way to word that), or create a new category for things which are public service oriented but neither strictly merchandise (even if stuff like stickers or brochures might be involved) nor TV spots. I think the simplest solution, considering how generally rare (but fascinating) these exceptions are, would be to add to PSAs with a category definition (or as a subcat thereof if we can come up with an appropriate label, but that seems tricky). -- Andrew Leal (talk)
- Okay, I added a definition, but we can always tinker with it, and I'm categorizing the article now. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 18:09, June 11, 2010 (UTC)
