The second picture isn't Nigel[]

It's Link Hogthrob. -- ThroughTheYears 8:50, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

You are right, but read the caption and look over Links shoulder. Henrik (talk) 14:36, December 19, 2009 (UTC)

John Lovelady[]

Do we know which performances of Nigel in the first season were John Lovelady? -- Peter (talk) 14:08, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

It's Lovelady in the Twiggy press conference scene right before she starts singing "In My Life." I'm not sure about others offhand. -- Ryan (talk) 15:24, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
It's John in the Kaye Ballard episode and Jim Henson in the Connie Stevens ep. Does Nigel have any other lines at all? — Joe (talk) 16:50, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
John Lovelady performed Nigel in episode 121 and episode 123, the last of which he had two spoken lines. Nigel also made some chewing sound effects in episode 124. I'm not sure if he was performed by Lovelady, Henson, or somebody else in that performance. --Minor muppetz 18:58, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Right now Jim is the only credited performer in the performer box. Should Lovelady be added, or do we remove the box and go with a Casting History section? — Scott (talk) 19:54, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
I think John Lovelady should be added. The Muppet Show Book only listed Nigel as being performed by John Lovelady, which indicates that he might have officially been a regular John Lovelady character (then again, the bio on Richard Hunt in one of The Muppet Show Fan Club newsletters mentioned that Hunt performed Nigel, yet I don't know if he ever performed the voice). --Minor muppetz 23:01, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Cecil the List[]

I'm pretty sure I created this page a while back, but I'm wondering now if it should be renamed to Nigel (conductor). Same goes for Nigel (director). Thoughts? -- Peter (talk) 14:05, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

I think you're right. — Scott (talk) 14:30, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
I'd second the move, not just because of Cecil, but because Nigel's earliest identity was just as the host, and not a conductor at all. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 15:38, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
So, do we change it to Nigel (conductor) or Nigel (Muppet Show) (with the other Nigel as Nigel (director) or Nigel (Muppets Tonight))? -- Peter (talk) 15:49, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
I guess we disambiguate by production, so that's probably best. — Scott (talk) 19:49, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
