What's the source for the recent additions to this page? Particularly 1) the performers used, and 2) the idea that it was originally one piece. Episode guides here can prove that the individual segments aired in the 1970s, but there's no evidence that these were ever shown in the 90s. There's also no proof that it was originally all one segment, so we need a source cited for that. Lastly, ASCAP shows that the piece is owned not by Sesame Workshop, but by Glass' company. β€”Scott (talk) 16:13, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Never mind. I've been in touch with the music publishers and according to the composer himself, he's not even sure he remembers how many pieces he wrote for Sesame Street. He says he thinks its four, but he could be wrong. Glass's people are currently working to re-acquire the material. They have detailed records of ownership, but no longer have copies of the music in their archives. See Geometry of Circles for more information. β€”Scott (talk) 20:42, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

I remember distinctly that the piece for Sesame Street was originally one long segment. I also remember asking Glass himself when he did an in-store at the Tower Records that used to be at 4th & Broadway in New York. If you listen to the voices closely, they are exactly the same as other Mabou Mines-sung pieces from the same era. Peace. MuzikJunky 20:58, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the input. We don't rely on memories since they can often be wrong. But where you've had personal contact with Glass, and my most recent correspondance with Kurt Munkacsi indicates some fuzziness on the part of the composer's memory, I'll see if I can do some more digging to clear this up. β€”Scott (talk) 21:04, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

I also mistyped when I wrote 1990s. I meant 1980s. Peace. MuzikJunky 03:59, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
