Parody

I was wondering if this song is a Broadway musical parody, or something, or if indeed it is entirely original? I presume it's original, just wanted to check. -- Zanimum 23:04, November 1, 2011 (UTC)

Sounds somewhat like a parody of "Bye, Bye, Birdie." -- Brad D. (talk) 23:29, November 1, 2011 (UTC)
It's definitely written in a Broadway style, but it doesn't bear any musical relationship to the title song of Bye Bye Birdie. The lyrical pattern ("Bye-bye, Binky; Binky bye-bye") matches the old Four Seasons tune "Bye, Bye, Baby", but the music is totally different. The only other candidate (based on the wikipedia:Bye Bye Baby disambiguation page) would be the Marilyn Monroe song from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, but that's a ballad and doesn't fit the lyric pattern. So I think it's original. Powers 21:06, November 3, 2011 (UTC)
