Names

Whew. I just did some major disentangling (the biggest source of confusion was with the Northern Ireland co-production (name just announced as Sesame Tree), when in fact this is for regular Ireland, the one which is independent; Northern Ireland, despite all the political turmoil, is still officially part of the United Kingdom, thus why the BBC branch is broadcasting the latter. Anyway, a name change is called for, but I'm not sure what. Sraid Sesame actually only appeared in one or two articles, and was then parroted everywhere. One used An Sraid Sesame. The broadcaster, TG4, used Spraoi Liomsa Sesame in some places, and just plain Play With Me Sesame in others. On the programming page, the header reads "Play With Me Sesame" in English, but when clicked, says "Tar ag Sproi Sesame." It's all pretty confusing right now, so there's two possibilities. We can leave as is until/unless someone can get a screengrab of the title card, or the full TG4 schedule makes it clearer what they've finally settled for, or we can move to "Play With Me Sesame (Ireland)" (which would be a useful redirect anyway) and rename when/if we find anything more concrete. Wow, thanks fo disentangling. There were some links referenced in there where mention is made of a tree being used as the main set of the new show. That must have been referring to Sesame Tree, so we should dig those back up for that article. As far as what to name this one, it's all very confusing to me. As far as the links go, there's now official press releases from Sesame Workshop, production company Sixteen South (with a roundup of related articles and interviews), the entry in the BBC "learning catalogue" for 2007, and a BBC news article, which have more detailed and clearer information on set, characters, etc. to date, though it's still in development. The earlier ones can be easily dug up if needed, but seem less useful now that more official, direct sources are available (I found a better, more detailed source for the Gary Knell quote too, here).
