This article mentions a few DVD releases of other Comedy Central shows that include the Cookie Monster appearance as a bonus feature. However, I read reviews of those DVDs, and th eappearance isn't listed. A review for the Root of All Evil DVD does mention previews for other Comedy central shows, but doesn't say anything about Cookie Monster's appearance on this show (but specific clips aren't mentioned). For those who have any of the DVDs, is this clip only included during the previews, as opposed to being listed among the features (which makes sense now; previously I thought it was odd that so many DVDs would include clips from other shows from the same network, and weird that thisclip would be released on so many DVDs around the same time). --Minor muppetz 03:26, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- According to this review, it's on the South Park release. —Scott (talk) 22:08, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
I took this bit out from the October 23, 2008 episode: "The title teaser for an interview with Franklin Delano Roosevelt biographer Jonathan Alter reads 'Roosevelt Frankly'." We can't really fairly claim that as a Sesame Street reference. —Scott (talk) 18:13, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
I confess, I haven't been as up on my watching of Colbert Report as I should. Was this a one-time occurance, airing footage of Guy Smiley when reporting on Mitt Romney, or has the CR been done this continuously as a running gag? --Dave Splurge 00:08, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- The article seems fairly clear that it was a one-time gag, and in general, while they've done several Muppet gags, none of them have been repeated in the same way. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 00:35, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
