two versions[]
Are there two versions of this book? Looking at the hsitory, Danny and Wendy provided the description that was here prior to Nate's update today which doesn't appear to be compatible with what was here before. Are there two books of the same name with a different story? —Scott (talk) 17:47, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- The cover picture for the article is the same as mine. It has no ISBN number and is a board book. I've noticed on some of the book pages that synopsis of the stories are very general, almost like they are just what the contributer thinks the book is about from the front page or back cover. The Countess doesn't even appear in the book (unless one of the many oil paintings of various member's of the Count's family count). There is a series of books featuring the black puppy that have been reprinted. Target currently has some of the reprints. This features the puppy, and he is hidden on every page of the book, but it is not part of the storyline. I'm thinking maybe Wendy or Danny just made an assumption about what the book was about? -- Nate (talk) 18:43, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, Nate's got it right. This is one of the "Elmo's Neighborhood" books, which (I think) are mostly about Elmo looking for the black dog through lots of different Sesame locations. I only have a couple of those books, though, and I don't have this one. My description was just based on the cover. I assumed the female in the window on the cover was the Countess -- if it's an oil painting of the Count's grandmother or something, then I didn't realize that. Nate -- I'm glad you're bringing the book knowledge! :) -- Danny (talk) 22:22, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
