The opening text is confusing here: "The Hare (or "The Rabbit" as he's sometimes known to sports fans; or "Jumpin' Jack Rabbit" as others call him)." The Rabbit? Jumpin' Jack? I don't have access to either of the listed skits right now. Are they used in dialogue, and in what context and with what frequency? Because it's unclear from that sentence why this article is titled "The Hare" at all, outside of the character's origins in Aesop. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 04:58, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Here's a link to the transcript. -- MuppetDude 18:37, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, Tony! While it's nice to know the source, though, it doesn't make the opening sentence, as written, any less confusing. Coupled with the transcript, it sounds more like "The Rabbit" or "Mr. Rabbit" should be the article title, but given the other appearances and the fact that he's essentially a literary character, the current title should do as long as the text is adjusted. The easiest fix would be to make "The Rabbit" and "Jumpin' Jack" bits a trivia note and clarify that the former is a direct quote from Kermit, and for the latter, it's just what the Hare/Rabbit claims ("Jumpin' Jack Rabbit, they call me"), a boast more than anything. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 20:31, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
