His Voice[]

A youtube user stated in annotations that the ringmaster was voiced by a certain Stanley Adams who was part of Star Trek. Do we know this is the case? I'm not familiar with the guy, so I wouldn't know. I'm perfectly willing to believe it, although I know of an actor named Morgan Upton who also sounds rather similar. Anyone have an opinion on this? As always, youtube users aren't a source. It's not Stanley Adams (a fine character actor), although he did have a not dissimilar voice so I can see why they guessed it. Upton actually isn't a bad hypothesis, since we know the studio where Jeff Hale worked produced the segments, and the studio was San Francisco based (as was Morgan Upton; Denny Delk and Terry McGovern, also Bay Area voices, are confirmed to have done [unspecified] Sesame segments during this period). Upton is dead now though, so barring really convincing comparison clips posted on this page, we'd need a direct source from someone, not our (or YouTube users') speculation. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 00:11, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
It took me a while to get back to this topic. I was reminded on account of having just finished watching a movie he (Upton) was in, namely "Peggy Sue Got Married". Going by my observations, I'm guessing he was the English teacher, though interestingly he sounded totally different from the ringmaster. I had originally considered it might have been him because I heard quite a lot of him when I was a kid, as the voice of the seal hunter Carbone in the animated TV series "Seabert". There's a definite similarity between his and the ringmaster's voices. That's what made me start to wonder. I wonder if there's a way to contact Jeff Hale. Maybe he could tell us for sure.
