The Same Show[]

Why are this and The Tonight Show listed in seperate articles? Aren't they essentially the same show, but with different hosts and slightly different titles? After all, there are other things that have changed titles that don't have multiple pages. For example, there are a lot of companies that have changed their names, yet we only have one article for them, with the current titles listed (We just have a page for The Jim Henson Company, but not seperate pages for Muppets, Inc. or Henson Associates, and we have a page for Sesame Workshop, but not Children's Television Workshop). --Minor muppetz 18:27, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Historically, the Steve Allen and Carson series are always listed seperately. They were distinct eras. In fact, Tonight! led directly to The Jack Paar Show, following a brief experimentation with a news series called Tonight! America After Dark. It was the Paar series which led to the Carson Tonight Show. Different hosts, different titles, different formats. I see no real value to merging them. As for Sesame Workshop/CTW, that's mainly because nobody has bothered to really research the company and add enough info to make seperate pages worthwhile. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 17:14, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I like keeping them separate. It keeps them more, I dunno... separate? — Scott (talk) 19:11, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
