How Long Was Willy On?

Does anybody know exactly what years Willy appeared on Sesame Street? I'm guessing that he wasn't on during the first season. He is also one of the few humans whose time on the show wasn't even mentioned in Sesame Street Unpaved. --Minor muppetz 20:23, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

He wasn't an original cast member, no. I can't pinpoint an exact date, but circa 1975 or so, early 70s, generally seems supported by publicity photos, and he appeared in the 1988 and 1989 specials and I *think* as late as 1990 (Love retired from Sesame Street in the early 1990s). Without access to either episodes or files (the University of Maryland has a useful CTW archive, though, if anyone gets a chance to go down there), I don't think we can be any more precise right now. -- Andrew, Aleal 19:44, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
