Muppets Take Manhattan[]
Zeke's filmography says that Zeke appeared in the wedding finale of The Muppets Take Manhattan, but I haven't ever seen him at the wedding. He's the only Jugband member to not be present there. If he was at the wedding it would be hard for him to not be spotted, but I think the person who added that here saw Lips and mistook Lips for Zeke (they both look a bit similar). --Minor muppetz 19:50, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Steve Whitmire[]
Does anybody have any examples of when Zeke was voiced by Steve Whitmire? I know that Steve Whitmire performed Zeke in Episode 523, but he didn't talk in that episode. This article says that Jim Henson mainly just performed Zeke in the second season (where I don't think he had any lines), but Jim Henson did perform Zeke in post-season 2 appearances (Episode 401, Rocky Mountain Holiday with John Denver and The Muppets). I know that Jim Henson didn't perform Zeke in Episode 501, but I can't tell who performed him there (Brian Muehl wasn't credited in that episode, so I'm sure it wasn't him). I know it wasn't Steve Whitmire, because he was performing a one-shot jugband member in that scene. --Minor muppetz 15:15, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- Of Muppets and Men specified that Whitmire had been given two new musician characters for the Mayhem, Lips and a marimba player. The only marimba player was Zeke. So do the math from there. Marimba appearances would be Whitmire, for the most part. And nowhere does the article specify that Henson just performed Zeke in the second season, but that Whitmire took over for most fourth and fifth season appearances. - No, the article doesn't specifically say that Henson only performed Zeke in the second season, but the performer box says that Henson usually performed him from 1977-1978, and Whitmre is listed as his performer from 1979-1981. It is weird that no performer is listed for 1978-1979 (I know that he did make appearances between then). --Minor muppetz 03:55, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
- Reading that above response, it's weird that it said that Steve Whitmire was given two members of The Electric Mayhem, and assuming that the book said that he performed "Lips and a marimba player", it is weird that it named one musician but not the other one, and was so generic about it. --Minor muppetz 02:14, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've just been thinking about it. Did Zeke play marimba for The Electric Mayhem in more than just one number? It's possible that the write rof Of Muppets and Men saw Whitmire performing him there, in only one appearance, and making note of it, unaware as to whetehr he was a regular member of the band or not. --Minor muppetz 18:41, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
