Gilda Radner sings "Tap Your Troubles Away" for the closing number in episode 304 of The Muppet Show. She has difficulty with the number, however, as she is still stuck to Beaker with Muppet Labs Glue.
This song was also performed in Sesame Street Live shows Save Our Street (1985) and Big Bird's Sunny Day Camp Out (1999), with revised lyrics for both editions.
The song was originally written for the Broadway musical Mack & Mabel, which focuses on the relationship between Mack Sennett, the founder of Keystone Studios (which featured stars of the silver screen Charlie Chaplin, W. C. Fields and the Keystone Kops) and Mabel Normand.
