The ABCs of COVID Vaccines is a CNN town hall special hosted by Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Erica Hill, along with Sesame Street characters Big Bird, Rosita, Elmo, Granny Bird, Super Grover, Ernie, Abby Cadabby, and Bert. The special focuses on vaccination. The special aired on CNN on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 8:30am ET.
Guests were Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett (who led testing of the vaccines in the United States), US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, Sesame Workshop's Dr. Rosemarie Truglio, and primary care pediatrician Dr. Edith Bracho-Sanchez.
A montage of characters and children who received the shot included Samuel, Telly Monster, Baby Bear, Tamir and Gabrielle. A closing shot of characters waving goodbye also included Cookie Monster, Count von Count, and Zoe.
