On today's program, Granny Fanny Nesselrode receives a letter from a viewer in Slippery Rock, who always has trouble getting ketchup to come out of the bottle when they want a hamburger. Coincidentally, Granny Fanny is just about to have a hamburger of her own.
She demonstrates how she believes it works - she holds the bottle above the patty and patiently waits for it to come out. When that doesn't work right away, she starts to shake the bottle vigorously. She then tries patting the bottom of the bottle, going so far as to produce a mallet to beat it with.
Her announcer finally recommends that she take the cap off the bottle first if she wants the ketchup to come out. She unscrews it and finds that he's right, pouring ketchup all over the table and the floor (missing the burger entirely).
