Granny Fanny Nesselrode begins this edition of "The Answer Lady" by not remembering that she is the one to bare that title. Her announcer reads a letter from a viewer who finds they can't tell their two kittens apart because they're so alike. Granny Fanny finds this remarkable; she has the same problem!
She produces a pair of kittens that she claims are also hard to tell apart, since they have similar sizes and anatomies. She has, however, figured out a way she can tell them apart - she's bought a collar that one will wear. She wonders whether she should give it to the light yellow-colored kitten or the gray one, when her announcer points out that their colors are a clear way to tell them apart. Granny Fanny is impressed by this, but still insists on giving one a collar.
Notes[]
- Starting with this sketch, Granny Fanny is made from a Large Lavender Live Hand Anything Muppet, and is now performed by Caroll Spinney. Jerry Nelson is the performer of her announcer (who now sports a head of thick, brown hair).
