The Dana Carvey Show was a half-hour sketch comedy show that aired on ABC during the 1996 season.
The show's repertory cast included Dana Carvey, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Robert Smigel, and others.
InToo Funny to Fail, a 2017 retrospective documentary on the series, Colbert talks about a press ad produced by ABC promoting their mid-season shows. Carvey at the time expressed concern about being front-and-center on the ad with Kermit and Clifford, promoting Muppets Tonight, due to Disney's purchase of the network just prior to the premiere of The Dana Carvey Show.
