The Dancing Clown is a marionette puppet that Fozzie tries to perform in The Muppet Show, episode 508.
Fozzie enjoys the feeling of power and control that he gets as a puppeteer, but it doesn't last long — the Clown grabs his strings and pulls Fozzie down to the ground. He appears at the end of the episode, now playing the role of puppeteer as Fozzie acts as a marionette.
