"The Dirtiest Town in the West" is a Sesame Street song about Dirty Gulch, a town in the old west that had a massive litter problem until Marshal McClean offered the residents a simple solution.
The story is told in song by a Green old-timer who overlooks the action from the porch of George's General Store. Whenever the chorus is sung, the scene changes to a ranch at night, with a group of Anything Muppet western folk singing it around a campfire.
The song is a loose parody of "Ghost Riders in the Sky."
