The Doodletown Pipers were a singing group, consisting of ten men and ten women, who starred on the 1967 variety series Our Place alongside Rowlf and Burns and Schreiber. The opening lyrics, in fact, emphasized the fact that Our Place is "a Doodletown dream come true," and Rowlf introduced the balloon conductor as leading "The Doodletown Pops Orchestra." The group was managed by Bernie Brillstein, who helped found the ensemble with Jerry Weintraub and others.

The Pipers performed as the opening act for a vast array of entertainment luminaries, including George Burns and Perry Como, and also worked with Bob Hope, Alan King, and the Carpenters.
