The Fairy Shoe Person is a fairy who specializes in footwear. He appears in Episode 4162 of Sesame Street. He can be summoned by any individual who makes a "shoe wish," creating shoes from thin air using his "shoe horn" (a bugle), and he proves to be very irritable with difficult customers.
After receiving a pair of shoes from him herself, Abby Cadabby encourages Telly Monster that he should do the same. Telly makes a shoe wish, prompting the Fairy Shoe Person to appear. He launches into a musical number to demonstrate all the shoes he can produce, but Telly merely wants him to surprise him. The Fairy Shoe Person conjures up a number of different kinds of shoes for Telly, which all have some unfortunate magical side-effects (such as running shoes that won't stop). Eventually, the fairy gets fed up with Telly's indecisiveness and splits the scene.
He has a personal beef with the Tooth Fairy, as he is often mistaken for him. He also recalls that his mother wanted him to instead matriculate in fairy dental school.
