"The Final Countdown" is a 1986 song by the Swedish rock band Europe. It has become a popular mainstay at sporting events over the years for its ability to rally crowds with its energetic sound.
During Gonzo's magic act in The Muppets Take the Bowl, Thomas Wilkins conducts the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra in a symphonic rendition of the tune while Gonzo, dressed as Doctor Strange and assisted by chickens, uses the power of his mind to levitate himself and Kermit the Frog in an effort to perform a body swap.
The song's instrumental appears in the Universal Studios Singapore stage show Sesame Street Birthday Blow-Out Show, serving as background music for Bert and Ernie's magic show.
