The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)

"The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)" is a song by Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis created to promote their TV talk show I kveld med YLVIS (Tonight with YLVIS).

Sesame Street's Vine account posted two videos referencing the online viral video. In the first, Cookie Monster sings "What does the fox say?" followed by a fox (performed by Matt Vogel) who begins to make the sound from the video, but lowers his head and admits that he doesn't really say that. In the second, the fox asks "What does the monster say?" Cookie replies with a series of noms, while eating a cookie.

Elmo sang the chorus of the song during his February 3, 2014 birthday celebration on Spreecast.
