The Giant is the titular character in the Mother Goose Stories episode "The Giant."
The village is filled with fear when the giant roams the land looking for people to grind their bones to make his bread. But when the giant makes friends with Dorothy and her cow he decides to use his size and power to help her father power his windmill to grind the flour to make bread instead.
