The Great Glitterini is a magical character introduced in the Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock episode "I'm Pogey," where he helps Wembley learn how to be his true self.
At first glance, Glitterini (who prefers the nickname G.G.) doesn't seem so great - he's rather small, short, and plain-looking. However, he reveals that he can transform himself into any way he feels, knowing he's dazzling whether or not others may think so. Soon, he extends his limbs and neck to become a much larger creature, changing his image from a top hat-wearing showman to a bouffant-adorned glamor girl. He resides in the Glitter Globe, which helps others like Pogey and Wembley be their true selves and love who they are. Glitterini also sings "Free and High" along with Wembley, Pogey, and Doc in the episode to affirm this point.
The genderqueer character was featured in a social media post from The Jim Henson Company in March 2024 celebrating International Transgender Day of Visibility.
Glitterini's original name was the Glitter Glob.[2]
