The Gryphon appears in the Creature Shop TV movie Alice in Wonderland. He is a mythical creature, which he asserts makes him "even more fascinating." The towering gryphon resides in an area filled with ruins, with his companion, the Mock Turtle. The pair duet on the song "Beautiful Soup."
The Gryphon was puppeteered by a team of five, Rob Tygner, Adrian Getley, David Barclay, Adrian Parish and Mark Hunter.
