The Hustler is a 1961 American film which tells the story of pool hustler "Fast Eddie" Felson and his quest to beat the legendary pool player "Minnesota Fats." An adaptation of a 1959 novel by Walter Tevis, the film starred Jackie Gleason, Paul Newman, and George C. Scott.
A sequel, The Color of Money, was released in 1986.
