Julien's Auctions

The Jim Henson Company 70th Anniversary Auction is a special event hosted by Julien's Auctions celebrating the 70-year legacy of The Jim Henson Company. The auction featured a range of officially-authenticated items from the company's archives, including puppets, props, costumes, set pieces, and memorabilia from films and television shows such as The Muppets Take Manhattan, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppet Treasure Island, Muppets From Space, Muppets Tonight, Fraggle Rock, The Christmas Toy, The Tale of the Bunny Picnic, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, Brats of the Lost Nebula, The Hoobs, Aliens in the Family, and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The auction also included selections of original artwork by the late Caroll Spinney.

The auction is said to be the first time in the company's history that such items were made available to the public. The auction featured over 400 lots of various items. The auction event was held at the Jim Henson Company Lot on November 25, 2025. A screening of Muppet Treasure Island tied to the auction took place at the American Cinematheque on November 2, with a post-film discussion with Brian Henson and items from the auction displayed in the lobby.[1]

A limited-edition hardcover book about the auction and its items was released on October 31, 2025.[2]
