The Labyrinth Experience and Masked Ball is a recurring fan convention held as a celebration of Labyrinth which includes panels, presentations, displays, cosplay, merchandise, vendors, artists, workshops, and appearances by the cast, crew and creatives behind the film. The event culminates in a Masquerade Ball reminiscent of the one from the film.
2023 event[]
An event was held on September 9-19 2023, at West Wycombe Park, West Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England (the actual filming location of the film's opening). Guests and panelists included: Brian Froud, Wendy Froud, Toby Froud, Sherry Amott Tippey, Valerie Charlton, William Todd-Jones, Maeve Callahan, Steve Allen, Karen Falk, Sue Dacre, Toby Philpott, Robert Tygner, Andrew Schlussel, Louise Gold, David Barclay, Niki Lyons, Valentine Moon, Ronnie LeDrew, Iris Compiet, Brandi Sylfae, and David Showler, plus displays of many puppets, characters and original props from the film. Events included presentations from The Jim Henson Company Archives, workshops on how to form the Helping Hands, and panel talks with puppeteers and Creature Shop builders.
