The Mad Bomber was featured in episode 107 of Muppets Tonight. He informs Clifford that there is a bomb in the studio, set to explode if the ratings go below fifty.
At the end of the show, Andy and Randy Pig track the Mad Bomber's telephone connection to a closet. Clifford breaks down the door, and the Bomber is revealed to be guest star Sandra Bullock in disguise. It turns out that there's no bomb; Sandra was just afraid that she'd be so bad that she wouldn't be invited back, and made up the bomb threat so that the show would get better ratings.
