"The Panda-lorian" is one of several show pitches that Fozzie Bear makes to Scooter in the Muppets Now episode "Fever Pitch."

For the debut of The Muppet Show on Disney+, a spoof ad for "The Frogdalorian" was released, featuring Robin as the Child.

In celebration of Star Wars Day on May 4, 2021, the Facebook account for Plaza Sésamo posted an image depicting Abelardo as the Mandalorian and Cookie Monster as Grogu.^[1]

Miss Nanny, a character known for having never shown her face, wears a cardboard robot head in the Muppet Babies episode "Oh My Gourd". During the first private screening of the animatic for the episode, Miss Nanny was wearing the Mandalorian's helmet.^[2]^[3]

During a Q&A at Topps DigiCon 2022, Kermit is asked what Disney show he'd like to be on. He replies with The Mandalorian, but admits he suffers from "Yoda-phobia," recalling how "Baby Yoda" consumed a frog in the series.

In a 2023 interview with Audacy, Animal claims his favorite show to stream is The Mandalorian, particularly finding Grogu adorable.

While developing the Grogu/Child character for The Mandalorian (initially known as "Baby Yoda"), one of Christian Alzmann's earliest concepts looked like a human toddler in make-up. In response, series creator Jon Favreau said, "No, I want this thing to look like a Dark Crystal/Henson-style puppet."^[4]
