The Mexican Hat Dancers appeared on The Muppet Show in episode 415. They were to have performed a number if it were not for Scooter's skateboard left on the floor backstage. Kermit trips over it, causing a raucous laugh from the dancers. Unfortunately for them, it also caused Kermit to wreck the scenery for their number. To their chagrin, Kermit brings the audience what he can only describe as a piece of weirdness.
