Statler and Waldorf recreating a Morecambe & Wise Show routine on Telly Addicts
The Morecambe & Wise Show is a British sketch comedy series starring comedy team Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise, who began as a stage act. The show ran from 1968 to 1977 on the BBC, with frequent Christmas specials, and then from 1978 to 1983 over ATV. The 1969 Christmas special included a variation of the team's established ventriloquist routine (previously televised on The Ed Sullivan Show), but this time with a giant dummy prop.
Guest stars, usually on the Christmas shows, included Glenda Jackson, Diana Rigg, Shirley Bassey, Vikki Carr, Gordon Jackson, and Elton John.

Let the bells ring out, let joy be unconfined!" At the end of the promo, however, the bear asks the frog, "Who's Morecambe and Wise?"
