Disney+ held a premiere event for The Muppets Mayhem on May 9, 2023 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. The event included a screening of the first two episodes of the series, "Can You Picture That" and "True Colors."
Show creators Jeff Yorkes, Adam Goldberg, and Bill Barretta introduced the series (YouTube) and The Electric Mayhem (Dr. Teeth, Floyd Pepper, Janice, Zoot, Lips and Animal) appeared to perform "Join Together" and "Rock On" from the series. (YouTube)
The Electric Mayhem Van and The Electric Mayhem Bus were both on display at the event.
Series regulars Lilly Singh, Saara Chaudry and Tahj Mowry attended the event. In addition to Barretta (Dr. Teeth), in attendance were Muppet performers Eric Jacobson (Animal), Matt Vogel (Floyd), David Rudman (Janice) and Peter Linz (Lips). Dave Goelz (Zoot) was unable to attend and a stand-in puppeteer performed to his vocals. The Muppets Mayhem guest stars Zedd and "Weird Al" Yankovic also attended the premiere.
