The Muppets Take to the High Seas: The Making of Muppet Treasure Island is a documentary on how the movie Muppet Treasure Island was made. It was shown on the Disney Channel on February 10, 1996.[1] The special is hosted by Clive Revill (dressed as a sea captain, aboard a ship set).
Interviewees included Martin Baker, Kevin Bishop, Billy Connolly, Tim Curry, Gonzo, Brian Henson, Kermit the Frog, Polly Lobster, Barry Mann, Mad Monty, Clueless Morgan, Miss Piggy, Rizzo the Rat, Jennifer Saunders, Cynthia Weil, and Hans Zimmer, as well as visual effects supervisor Nick Allder and Muppet workshop staffers Fred Buchholz, Polly Smith, and Mark Zeszotek.
