The Odyssey is an epic two-part miniseries, similar to Gulliver's Travels, adapting the Greek epic poem of the same name. The production aired over NBC and was executive produced by Francis Ford Coppola.
Jim Henson's Creature Shop provided an array of creature effects, including a talking animatronic pig roasting on a spit, the CG creature Scylla, a rod-puppet sea slug-like sea monster who devours the prophet Laocoon, and a full-bodied version of the Cyclops (performed by sumo wrestler Reid Asato).
