"The One Bathing Suit" is performed by Emmet Otter and his Ma as they row up the river in the opening of Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas. The song affectionately mocks Grandma Otter's oversized swimwear.
The song had an extra verse that was cut from the final version of the special. The verse was reinstated into the special in the 2015 ABC Family airing.
The extended version was also featured in a documentary on the 2005 DVD release of the special.
This was the first song that Paul Williams wrote for the Muppets.
