The Pied Piper is a hip flute player hired to rid the town of Hamelin of mice and inspired by the poem The Pied Piper of Hamelin by Robert Browning. Kermit the Frog interviews him in a "Sesame Street News Flash" sketch. The Piper has a problem attracting the mice, but Kermit manages to draw them to him by whistling.
