The Poseidon Adventure is an Academy Award-winning disaster film released in 1972 based on a novel of the same name, that spawned a sequel and two remakes.

- The film was parodied in the 1993 Muppet Trading Cards set as The Pigseidon Adventure with Kermit the Frog as Captain C. Cruise, Fozzie Bear as Al Wett, Gonzo as Harry Cane, and Miss Piggy as Stormy Waters. The art also appeared as a poster in the Commissary on Muppets Tonight, and also in the queuing area of Muppet*Vision 3D.
- The 2006 remake Poseidon was reviewed by Statler and Waldorf in From the Balcony, followed by a parody of what the movie might have been like as a musical.
