The Prince's Rainforests Project is an online campaign set up in 2009 by Charles, Prince of Wales to advocate for an end to rainforest destruction. The Prince has recruited Hollywood stars and other notable people to appear in an online video showing their support for the campaign, including Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, the Dalai Lama, Pelé, Robin Williams, Joss Stone, Bruce Parry, and Michaela Strachen.
The video also stars a digitally-animated frog, who croaks his support. As the Prince explains, "Princes and frogs have a long association but our frog is symbolic with the world's rainforests. The frog is a symbol of action against climate change."[1]
Kermit the Frog appears in an eight-second clip at the end of the video, saying, "Kermit the Frog, Amphibian. We need the rainforest... Everybody does."
