The Ringmaster appears in the "Elmo the Musical" segment, "Circus the Musical."
He hosts the circus Elmo tries to be a part of. He tells the "monster with a dream" that he needs an act first. Elmo tries replacing the other acts (The Great In-Betweeni, High-Walking Hidi and Zowie-Zown the Upside-Down Clown), but fails each time. A chicken who perfects the acts convinces him to keep on clucking and Elmo finds his niche.
