The Sesame Street/Electric Company Reading Kits is an educational product published by Addison-Wesley Publishing in 1975, based on the Children's Television Workshop series Sesame Street and The Electric Company. The kits are aimed at beginning readers through the third grade. According to the publisher, the set "aims to develop visual & auditory discrimination in prereaders to foster readiness to use decoding skills in reading." The set includes filmstrips, audio cassettes, activity books, games, comic books, mini-books and a teachers' resource book.
There were three Sesame Street books included in the set:
- The Sesame Street Code Book (prereading, coding), illustrated by Susan Gilmour and Bud Luckey
- The Sesame Street Letters Book (prereading, visual discrimination), illustrated by Kyuzo Tsugami and Bud Luckey
- The Sesame Street Sounds Book (prereading, visual discrimination), illustrated by Bob Taylor
